Extending Christmas Beyond our Walls
Each Christmas season, our Giving Tree Ministry brings joy to elderly residents in assisted living and nursing homes. The tree is decorated with paper ornaments, each bearing the name of a resident and a suggested gift. Members of the congregation are invited to choose an ornament, purchase a gift, and return it wrapped to share the spirit of Christmas with someone who may otherwise feel forgotten during the holidays.
Through this simple yet powerful tradition, we extend Christ’s love beyond our church walls and remind our elders that they are cherished and remembered. Every gift, large or small, carries with it the warmth of our community and the true meaning of Christmas—sharing love, hope, and joy with others.
