Your journey. Your faith.
Youth in seventh and eighth grade are invited to participate in faith formation classes preparing them for the rite of Affirmation of Baptism (Confirmation) the fall of their ninth grade year.

Norway Grove and Burke Lutheran churches partner together for this two-year educational program, generally meeting one Sunday a month throughout the school year and the month of June. Students’ families take turns providing the evening meal, with parents remaining to attend class that evening.
The first year of our two year course explores the story of God’s people in both the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament) and New Testament. In the second year, students learn more about Lutheran worship, the basic building blocks of what it means to be Lutheran (The Small Catechism), the Church Year, and a bit about the history of the Lutheran Church. Norway Grove students participate as leaders (reading lessons, leading prayers, etc.) for our mid-week Lenten services.
Students who are in eighth grade or older who have not yet begun confirmation instruction are welcome to join the class. Please contact the Church Office (officemanager@norwaygrove.com) or Pastor Carol (pastor@norwaygrove.com) for more information.
